NEW YORK (AP) -- Darryl "DMC" McDaniels of the legendary rap group Run-DMC was scheduled to undergo surgery at a New Jersey hospital Friday to remove two major blood clots in his left arm. McDaniels, 44, had been suffering from pain and swelling in his arm when doctors discovered the clots, his publicist Tracey Miller told The Associated Press. Miller did not know when McDaniels would be released, and said he had canceled a planned performance over the weekend. © 2008 The Associated Press. All rights reserved.
