WIMBLEDON, England (AP) -- Roger Federer has advanced to his sixth straight Wimbledon final, beating Marat Safin 6-3, 7-6 (3), 6-4.
The five-time defending champion will be playing in 16th Grand Slam final. Federer has not dropped a set at this year's tournament. He will be trying to break Bjorn Borg's Open era record by winning his sixth straight title at the All England Club.
Federer stretched his grass-court winning streak to 65 matches Friday and his Wimbledon winning streak to 40. He will face Rafael Nadal or Rainer Schuettler in Sunday's final.
